About The Position

ViaQuest Residential Services Direct Support Professionals provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes. The role focuses on fostering independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring individuals’ health and safety. Training is provided in its entirety, and no prior experience is required. The position is based in Newark, Ohio, and pays $17.75–$18.75 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Motor vehicle record must meet requirements, including no OVI/DUI, reckless-operation, or speeding violations more than 20 MPH over the posted limit; no more than two moving violations in the last two years or more than five points.
• Reliable vehicle with active insurance.
• Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and assist individuals as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting independence, choice, and empowerment while attending to health and safety needs.
• Supervise, teach, and assist individuals in all aspects of their lives.
• Complete household tasks, including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Provide personal care assistance.
