FT Direct Support Professional
About The Position
Easter Seals of Tennessee is seeking compassionate, hardworking people to support people with disabilities as they learn, work, and play in their communities. Based in a person-supported home, Direct Support Professionals provide caregiver assistance with daily activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration. They may also accompany individuals in the community to facilitate involvement and support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life of the people they support. Previous experience is not required; training is provided for candidates with the right attitude.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must have valid automobile insurance.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must pass a background and drug screen.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration.
- Accompany individuals in the community to facilitate community involvement.
- Support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff.
- Help enhance the quality of life of the people supported.
Benefits
- $15 per hour starting rate.

- $1 shift premium for Saturday and Sunday shifts from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
