About The Position

Almost Family is seeking a reliable, compassionate, and caring Direct Support Professional to join its Florence Team in Florence, Oregon. This full-time role supports individuals who need physical, mental, and/or emotional assistance with activities of daily living, life skills development, and fostering independence. The position pays $19 to $22 per hour, paid biweekly. The role includes individualized assistance with daily activities, healthcare recommendations and support, behavioral interventions, communication, transportation, and household management. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have at least 1 year of experience providing support for an individual with I/DD and/or a family member.
Have knowledge and understanding of disabilities.
Be able to maintain strict confidentiality.
Have a compassionate, caring, and patient attitude.
Pass a clear criminal background check.
Have a valid driver's license, active auto insurance, and a good working vehicle.
Be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Assist with activities of daily living, including physical and emotional support, integrated healthcare recommendations and support, behavioral interventions, and communication support.
Adhere to established protocols and client goals.
Provide transportation for appointments and daily activities.
Develop and maintain client relationships and foster positive self-esteem.
Provide individualized care in keeping with the company mission.
Assist with general housekeeping and home management.
Complete and adhere to all required documentation.
