About The Position

PathPoint is hiring full-time Direct Support Professionals for its Integrated Work Program in Ventura, supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The program combines community integration with opportunities at paid part-time employment contracts or volunteer sites in Ventura County. The role helps participants strengthen workplace abilities, build life skills, and develop meaningful relationships. No prior experience is required, and the position may be a starting point for careers in social work, special education, or occupational therapy, with opportunities to advance within PathPoint.

Requirements

• Patience, compassion, and positivity.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Criminal record clearance, TB screening, and basic health screening.
• For most positions, a valid driver's license, use of a vehicle with registration and insurance, and eligibility for coverage on PathPoint's auto insurance policy.

Nice To Haves

• Prior professional or personal experience supporting individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required.
• Bilingual skills may qualify for additional pay if needed for the position.

Responsibilities

• Work with a small group of individuals, typically 3–4, in a community-based setting.
• Transport and accompany the group to job sites, volunteer placements, and community outings.
• Provide hands-on coaching as individuals build vocational and life skills.
• Encourage independence, confidence, and positive social interactions.
• Facilitate structured activities focused on employment readiness and daily living skills.
• Complete end-of-day documentation and progress notes.
