About The Position
GT Independence is seeking a full-time Direct Support Professional to work in Shawano, Wisconsin. The organization helps people live lives of their choosing, regardless of age or ability. The role supports members in living authentically and making their own choices. Work takes place in a member’s living situation, a typical office setting, or other community settings. The starting wage is $17 per hour. Flexible working hours and on-the-job training are offered. No experience is required; the employer will train the right person.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid, active driver’s license required.
- Current car insurance with at least liability coverage required.
- Must pass a background check.
- Copies of the driver’s license and car insurance card are required before hiring.
- Skills in teamwork, multitasking, adaptability, communication, and time management.
- Patient, compassionate, attentive, reliable, responsible, and accountable.
- No prior experience required; training is provided.
