Full Time Direct Support Professional

About The Position

The Direct Support Professional assists and monitors clients with personal care, meals, housekeeping, meal preparation, prescribed medications and diets, adaptive equipment, behavior programs, active treatment, and service goals. The role also involves communicating client information as directed by supervisory staff, transporting clients in Company vehicles, and supporting clients during community outings, school, and day program activities. Other duties may be assigned. This is a full-time, third-shift position paying $17.50 per hour.

Requirements

Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
Valid North Carolina driver's license.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
No experience required.

Responsibilities

Assist and monitor clients with dressing, bathing, toileting, and other aspects of self-care.
Assist and monitor clients during meals to support family-style dining.
Assist and monitor clients with housekeeping, including clothing care, house cleaning, and yard care.
Assist and monitor clients in preparing meals and nutritional supplements.
Assist and monitor clients in administering prescribed medication without error.
Assist and monitor clients in following prescribed diet orders and using adaptive equipment.
Implement and follow established behavior programs, data collection practices, and safety procedures.
Assist and monitor clients in active treatment, including training objective plans, recording data, and implementing service goals.
Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team and communicate appropriate client information as directed by supervisory staff.
Transport and monitor clients in Company vehicles as directed.
Assist and monitor clients during community outings.
Assist and monitor clients during school and day program activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
