About The Position

The Vocational Training Center (VTC) in Fargo, North Dakota, is hiring full-time Direct Support Professionals to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in vocational and social settings. The role includes guiding and engaging individuals, accompanying them to off-site activities, assisting with personal care and medications, and supervising vocational-service crews. The work calls for flexibility and composure in a changing environment. A certificate through ND Direct Care Careers must be completed. Other duties may be assigned. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week. Day-shift hours are available from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday; evening and weekend hours may also be available depending on program needs. Starting pay is $17.12, with pay dependent on experience (DOE).

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Current driver's license.
Complete Certificate with ND Direct Care Careers.

Responsibilities

Provide guidance to and actively engage adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in vocational and social settings.
Accompany individuals to off-site activities.
Assist individuals with personal care responsibilities and administer medications based on individual needs.
Supervise crews on and off-site performing vocational services.
Maintain flexibility and composure in an ever-changing work environment.
Complete the certificate with ND Direct Care Careers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
