About The Position

The R.I.S.E. Day Program Direct Support Professional assists people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in participating in meaningful activities in the community and at Willows Way. The DSP explores each individual’s interests and matches them with fun and fulfilling activities.

The typical schedule is Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Additional availability may be required for program or client transportation needs. The position pays $21.50 per hour. The posting describes the role as both part-time and full-time benefit eligible.

Requirements

• Be a positive role model.
• Reliability, kindness, compassion, patience, and respect.
• Excellent communication skills.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable transportation for use on the job.
• Ability to obtain a Class E license and drive large vans.
• Ability to pass all background checks.
• Ability to physically assist individuals using wheelchairs with mobility and hygiene tasks.
