Direct Support Professional PL-AM
About The Position
Indera is seeking a Direct Support Professional for a part-time, 1:1 support role in Liverpool, NY. The position involves assisting a man with safety skills and engaging him in activities of interest, such as camping, playing games, cooking, and attending live action plays. The individual enjoys spending time at home with his dog. The role requires the candidate to be creative, engaging, active, patient, and willing to travel. Personal care with verbal prompts may be necessary. This is a part-time position, with potential for additional hours supporting other individuals served by the agency.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Effective communication and organizational skills required.
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
- Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
