Direct Support Professional PL-AL
About The Position
Indera is seeking a Direct Support Professional for a 1:1 Part-Time Support Staff position in Manlius, NY (Pl-AL). The role involves assisting a 69-year-old female with social engagement, healthy food choices, and exercise. The individual enjoys video games, card games, crafts, puzzles, visiting bookstores, dining out, and watching movies. The ideal candidate will be creative, active, patient, engaging, willing to travel to various locations, participate in exercises, and provide physical assistance with stairs. This is a part-time role with potential for additional hours supporting other individuals served by the agency.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Effective communication and organizational skills required
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required
- Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy

- Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred
