About The Position

A 17-year-old male in the Camillus area is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist him with socialization in the community and independence with hygiene and money management. His current interests include school, video games, building Legos, listening to music and musicals, and watching TV. He is eager to engage in community activities and develop life skills. The ideal candidate will be creative, engaging, active, patient, and willing to travel to various locations with new activity ideas. This is a part-time role with potential for additional hours supporting other individuals at the agency.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work independently in the person’s home and/or community.
• Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills.
• New York State Driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance is required.
• Acceptable driving record required.
• Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community.
• Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
• Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
• Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy.

Nice To Haves

• No experience required but experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
• Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.

Benefits
