Direct Support Professional - PRN
About The Position
Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for its program in Antioch, California. DSPs support individuals with developmental disabilities in settings that may include the community, family or individual homes, generic community settings, and Adult Training Facilities. The role includes providing direct care and implementing behavior plans to enhance the health, safety, dignity, and contentment of the people served. DSPs assist and train individuals in personal care, communication, and social skill development. The position is PRN. Pay is $26.00–$28.00 per hour, with an increase after receiving Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification. Merakey requires completion of DSP 1, DSP 2, and RBT certifications within one year of hire.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a verifiable high school diploma or GED.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must have at least six months of experience providing direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities, with a focus on behavioral services.
- Must complete DSP 1 and DSP 2 certifications within one year of hire.
- Must complete Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within one year of hire.
