About The Position

Mains’l is hiring Direct Support Professionals to support adults with needs in living meaningful, self-directed lives at home and in the community. The role centers on compassion, inclusion, and empowerment. DSPs assist with everyday activities, encourage community participation, teach skills that build independence, and help ensure the comfort, safety, and dignity of the people they support. The work also involves advocacy and building meaningful relationships. Starting pay is $18.25 per hour, increasing to $18.75 per hour after one year, with maximum pay of $19.25 per hour based on years of service. Part-time and full-time schedules are available based on the needs and preferences of the people receiving support. Full benefits are offered to full-time staff.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to pass a DOJ/FBI background check.
Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation, if applicable.
Ability to pass a TB test and physical, if applicable.
Clear driving record, if applicable.
Compassionate, patient, and reliable.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Comfortable assisting with personal care and everyday challenges.
Eager to learn, grow, and make an impact.

Responsibilities

Support daily living tasks, including cooking, cleaning, medication assistance, and personal care.
Encourage participation in hobbies, social events, and community activities.
Teach and model life skills that build confidence and independence.
Ensure comfort, safety, and dignity in every interaction.
Advocate for and support people who may not always have a voice.
Build meaningful relationships with the people supported.
