About The Position

EIHAB is seeking part-time Direct Support Professionals to provide on-site behavioral health care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting in Middlesex County, New Jersey. The role helps foster a safe, therapeutic, family-like environment where residents can thrive and achieve greater independence. The current opening is for Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of related work or life experience.
• Valid New Jersey driver’s license with a good driving record and three years of driving history.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to complete required training, including CPR/First Aid and Medication Administration.
• Ability to pass a drug screening, background check, and CARI check.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living skills and personal care.
• Administer medication and document services.
• Support medical appointments and community recreational activities.
• Maintain a safe, structured, home-like environment.
• Document significant behavioral changes and notable incidents.
• Act as a liaison and advocate for individuals and their families, facilitating access to community resources.
• Comply with state and federal regulations, EIHAB policies, and safety standards.
