About The Position
GT Independence is seeking a full-time Direct Support Professional to support members in Green Bay, Wisconsin (Brown County). The organization’s vision is to help people live lives of their choosing, regardless of age or ability. The role involves assisting members to live authentically and make their own choices. Work takes place in a member’s living situation, a typical office setting, or other community settings. No prior experience is required; training is provided.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Valid, active driver’s license.
- Current car insurance, with at least liability coverage.
- Must pass a background check.
- Must provide copies of a driver’s license and car insurance card before hiring.
- Relevant skills include teamwork, multitasking, adaptability, communication, and time management.
- Relevant behaviors include patience, compassion, attentiveness, reliability, responsibility, and accountability.
Nice To Haves
- CNA certificate is welcome.
