About The Position
GT Independence is hiring a full-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Merrill, Wisconsin. The role supports clients in living a life of their choosing, regardless of age or ability, and helps them live authentically. Work takes place in a member’s living situation, a typical office setting, or other community settings. The starting wage is $17 per hour. The position offers flexible working hours, on-the-job training, casual work attire, gas mileage reimbursement at 76 cents per mile, paid drive time between clients, a quarterly attendance-based bonus program, and growth opportunities.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid, active driver’s license required.
- Current car insurance with at least liability coverage required.
- Must pass a background check.
- Must provide copies of the driver’s license and car insurance card before hiring.
- Skills in teamwork, multitasking, adaptability, communication, and time management.
- Patient, compassionate, attentive, reliable, responsible, and accountable behaviors.
- No experience is required; training is provided to the right person.
