About The Position

A Direct Support Professional (also known as a DSP, Residential Assistant, Caregiver, Home Health Aide, or CNA) provides day-to-day support to individuals. The role includes light housework such as cooking, meal preparation, and cleaning; assistance with personal care and hygiene routines; transportation to appointments and activities; and behavioral and social support, including responding to potential physical or verbal outbursts or aggression.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• At least two consecutive years of driving experience.
• Fewer than three moving violations within the past 36 months.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background, physical, TB, and drug screenings.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform light housework, including cooking, meal preparation, and cleaning.
• Support personal care and hygiene routines, including feeding, medication administration, bathing, showering, and toileting.
• Provide transportation to doctor’s appointments, outside activities, and excursions.
• Provide behavioral and social support, including working with potential physical and verbal outbursts or aggression.
