About The Position

Community Options, Inc. is hiring full-time, part-time, and PRN Direct Support Professionals to provide person-centered care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Feasterville-Trevose and Levittown, Pennsylvania. No prior experience is required; paid training is provided. Starting pay is $18.60 per hour, with a bonus available for employees with NADSP credentials.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports.
Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situations.
Successful completion of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing checks is a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

Provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Assist with daily routines, including cleaning, cooking, feeding, medication administration, and personal hygiene.
Monitor individuals’ health and medical needs and immediately report concerns.
Support individuals in learning and developing independent and community-based skills.
Participate with individuals in community, social, and recreational activities.
Drive individuals to medical appointments and community activities.
Complete program documentation and billable records accurately and on time.
Build and maintain individuals’ support networks by developing relationships with community members, businesses, and families.
Cooperate with licensing and department staff during inspections, inquiries, or investigations.
Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
