Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Overnight Full Time
About The Position
Bancroft is hiring a full-time Direct Support Professional for its Adult Residential department in Glendora, New Jersey. The role provides quality, empathetic support to adults with autism and other intellectual or developmental disabilities. Direct Support Professionals help residents develop daily living skills, encourage independence through personalized care plans, plan community events and outings, and communicate with residents, families, and guardians. The position is scheduled Sunday through Wednesday, 11 p.m. to 9 a.m., at an hourly rate of $19.06–$19.44. Bancroft describes its work as supporting children and adults with autism, intellectual or developmental disabilities, and people in need of neurological rehabilitation. The organization has 2,700 employees across more than 200 facilities and homes in New Jersey and Delaware.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Have a high school diploma or GED.
- Work well in teams and be open to learning new skills.
- Have the ability and willingness to work weekends.
- Have a current driver's license in good standing.
- Have a strong desire to work with autistic and/or intellectually or developmentally disabled individuals.
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
