About The Position

Bancroft is hiring a Direct Support Professional for its Adult Residential department in Glendora, New Jersey. The role supports adults with autism and other intellectual or developmental disabilities, providing quality care in a positive and empathetic manner. The position is full time, working Sunday through Wednesday from 11 p.m. to 9 a.m., at an hourly rate of $19.06–$19.44.

Direct Support Professionals help residents build everyday skills, develop independence through personalized care plans, and participate in events and outings that strengthen the Bancroft community. They work as part of a supportive, accountable team and communicate with residents, families, and guardians. The work can be physically, mentally, and emotionally challenging, and weekend availability is required.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Work well in teams and be open to learning new skills.
• Have the ability and willingness to work weekends.
• Have a current driver's license in good standing.
• Have a strong desire to work with autistic and/or intellectually or developmentally disabled individuals.
