About The Position

Bancroft is hiring a full-time Direct Support Professional for its Adult Residential department in Mt. Ephraim, New Jersey. The role provides quality, empathetic care to adults with autism and other intellectual or developmental disabilities. The scheduled hours are Thursday from 11 p.m. to 9 a.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 p.m. to 11 a.m. The hourly rate is $19.06–$19.44.

Direct Support Professionals help residents build daily-living skills and independence through personalized care plans, and support community-building events and outings. They work as part of a supportive, accountable care team and communicate with residents, families, and guardians. The work can be physically, mentally, and emotionally challenging, and schedules require weekend availability.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Work well in teams and be open to learning new skills.
• Have the ability and willingness to work weekends.
• Have a current driver’s license in good standing.
• Have a strong desire to work with autistic and/or intellectually or developmentally disabled individuals.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree.
• Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
