About The Position

The Direct Support Professional is a member of the Hope Network team who provides compassionate, person-centered support and supervision to individuals in residential and rehabilitation programs. The role helps people develop daily living skills, achieve personal goals, maintain health and safety, and participate in their communities while promoting dignity, independence, and choice.

This position is based in Grandville, Michigan, and is listed as a second-shift, eight-hour role. The position supports people with personal care and daily routines, medication and health-related needs, community participation, and progress toward individual goals.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist individuals as needed.
• Ability to work scheduled shifts, including weekends.
• Ability to pass required background checks.
• A caring and dependable approach and enjoyment of helping others.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to stay calm and supportive during challenging situations.
• Commitment to treating every person with respect and compassion.

Nice To Haves
