About The Position
Merakey is seeking compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professionals in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. DSPs work alongside a team to help individuals build independence, develop social and communication skills, and manage daily living activities. The role includes serving as a mentor, coach, and advocate, and supporting individuals as they pursue personal goals and take part in community activities.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support with activities of daily living.
- Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
- Support life skills development, including household tasks and social skills.
- Provide community support and transportation.
- Promote health, safety, and well-being, including medication support as trained.
- Complete required documentation, progress notes, and service logs.
