About The Position

Our residential home in Danvers is seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Direct Support Professionals to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living meaningful and fulfilling lives. The residents at our Collins Street home in Danvers are an active group who enjoy attending local sporting events, going to the movies, and spending time together playing games at home. During the summer months, residents enjoy cookouts and relaxing in the backyard. The home is conveniently located near Liberty Tree Mall, Northshore Mall, and public transportation. Residents require support with daily living activities, meal preparation, community engagement, and personal care. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide quality supports that promote independence, personal growth, and community inclusion. You will assist individuals in achieving their goals while ensuring their health, safety, and overall well-being.

Requirements

• CPR/First Aid and MAP Certification required.
• Valid Massachusetts driver's license required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with transfers, mobility support, and other physical activities.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and provide physical intervention when necessary.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to person-centered supports.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to meet individuals' clinical, social, and daily living needs.
• Assist with personal care, including bathing, grooming, transferring, and other individualized support needs.
• Support meal preparation, household activities, and recreational opportunities.
• Facilitate meaningful community experiences that encourage skill development, relationship building, and independence.
• Administer medications in accordance with MAP regulations and Northeast Arc policies.
• Accompany individuals to medical appointments, hospital visits, and community outings as needed.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation, including communication logs, health records, daily data collection, and safety reports.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and respectful environment for all individuals served.
