About The Position

BAYADA Home Health Care is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP), also referred to as a Hab Tech, to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. The role focuses on fostering trust, independence, confidence, life skills, and meaningful everyday experiences. DSPs work one-on-one as mentors and advocates, helping each person live life on their own terms.

The position offers flexible PRN scheduling across a variety of shifts and locations. BAYADA aims to place employees within 30 minutes of home, offers mileage reimbursement options, and provides a starting wage of $18 per hour. Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent; applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts and locations.
• Reliable transportation and ability to drive clients to activities.
• Willingness to travel between clients within the assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Support daily routines, including dressing, grooming, and personal care.
• Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and community outings.
• Engage clients in hobbies, activities, and meaningful social interaction.
• Assist with daily living tasks, including meal preparation.
• Help individuals stay active, connected, and engaged in their communities.
• Drive clients to activities and travel between clients within the assigned area.
