Full-Time Direct Support Professional - Columbus OH
About The Position
PALS is seeking experienced, energetic, strong, and dedicated Direct Support Professionals to help deliver services to individuals with developmental disabilities. The role provides supervision and support, assists individuals with activities of daily living, provides safe transportation, and accurately documents care and services. DSPs also serve as friends and mentors, planning, encouraging, and carrying out social and occupational activities. The position is based at the Columbus Day Program in Columbus, Ohio. The listed pay range is $17.50–$19.00 per hour; rates may vary based on experience, job category, location, and shift.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current Ohio driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Successfully pass a DOT physical.
- Acceptable criminal background verification.
- Willingness to provide fun yet responsible supervision and assistance to adults with developmental disabilities.
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work with diverse groups and individuals.
