About The Position

PALS is seeking an experienced, energetic, strong, and dedicated Direct Support Professional to support adults with developmental disabilities at its Bellaire Day Program in Bellaire, Ohio. The role provides supervision and support, assists individuals with daily living activities, provides safe transportation, and accurately documents care and services. DSPs also serve as friends and mentors by planning, encouraging, and carrying out social and occupational activities.

Requirements

• Successfully pass a DOT physical.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Current Ohio driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Acceptable criminal background verification.
• Willingness to provide fun yet responsible supervision and assistance to adults with developmental disabilities.
• Proficiency in verbal and written skills.
• Ability to work with diverse groups and individuals.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Assist individuals with daily activities of living.
• Provide safe transportation.
