About The Position

ViaQuest Residential Services Direct Support Professionals support individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes. The role focuses on fostering independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring individuals’ health and safety. Training is provided in its entirety, and no prior experience is required. The position is available full-time or part-time in Toledo, Ohio, and surrounding areas, with pay of $17.25–$18.25 per hour. A variety of flexible schedules are available.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Have a personal, reliable vehicle that you are willing and able to use to transport individuals served.
• Have a valid Ohio driver's license and car insurance.
• Meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria based on the Motor Vehicle Record.
• Be able to push, lift, or carry up to 50 pounds and climb, balance, kneel, and crouch.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, fostering independence, choice, and empowerment while meeting health and safety needs.
• Supervise, teach, and assist individuals in all aspects of their lives.
• Complete household tasks, including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Provide personal care assistance.
• Transport individuals served using a personal vehicle.
