About The Position

ViaQuest Residential Services Direct Support Professionals provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes. The role aims to foster individuals’ independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring their health and safety. Training is provided in its entirety, and no prior experience is required. Full-time and part-time positions are available in Bowling Green, Ohio, and surrounding areas. Pay is $17.25–$18.25 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• A personal, reliable vehicle that the employee is willing and able to use to transport individuals served.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and car insurance.
• Motor Vehicle Record must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria.
• Ability to push, lift, or carry up to 50 pounds and to climb, balance, kneel, and crouch.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, fostering independence, choice, and empowerment while attending to health and safety needs.
• Supervise, teach, and assist individuals in all aspects of their lives.
• Complete household tasks, including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Provide personal care assistance.
• Transport individuals served using a personal vehicle.
