About The Position

ViaQuest Residential Services Direct Support Professionals provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes. Full-time and part-time positions are available in Perrysburg, Ohio, and surrounding areas. Training is provided in its entirety, and no prior experience is required. The role is intended for people interested in starting or building a career in healthcare or the IDD field, including candidates without a degree and people gaining experience while taking classes.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Have a personal, reliable vehicle and be willing and able to use it to transport individuals served.
• Have a valid Ohio driver's license and car insurance.
• Meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria based on the Motor Vehicle Record.
• Be able to push, lift, or carry up to 50 pounds and climb, balance, kneel, and crouch.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, fostering independence, choice, and empowerment while meeting health and safety needs.
• Supervise, teach, and assist individuals in all aspects of their lives.
• Complete household tasks, including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Provide personal care assistance.
