About The Position

Dungarvin is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver to provide person-centered support to people with mental, intellectual and developmental, and physical disabilities. The goal is to help the people served live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect. The role includes direct assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance, as well as support with safety, comfort, and personal growth. Duties also include housekeeping, laundry, and help with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, toileting, and personal hygiene. A valid driver’s license is required, and the employee must be comfortable transporting people served when required. Some positions or locations may require a personal vehicle and auto liability insurance. Multiple shifts are available; the posting lists a wage of $15.75 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance to individuals served.
• Support individuals’ comfort, safety, and personal growth.
• Perform housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Assist with daily living tasks, including mobility, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Transport individuals served as required.
• Document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with internal and external team members.
