About The Position

BAYADA Home Health Care is hiring part-time Direct Support Professionals in Lancaster County and surrounding areas. In this role, you will work one-on-one with adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities in home and community settings, serving as a companion and mentor and helping clients live more independently. The work includes personal care, transportation, meal preparation, hobbies and activities, and community integration.

The position offers flexible scheduling, various shift options, opportunities to grow into fuller schedules, and efforts to match assignments within about 30 minutes of home. Starting pay is $18–$19 per hour based on experience, with weekly pay and possible mileage reimbursement. Training and development opportunities include scholarships, free courses, and on-the-job training. Requirements

• One year of experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities; training may be available through an apprentice program for candidates without this experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to transport clients to and from appointments, errands, and community outings.

Responsibilities

• Help clients build independence.
• Provide personal care assistance, including dressing and grooming.
• Transport clients to appointments, errands, and community outings.
• Spend time participating in clients’ favorite hobbies and activities.
• Assist with everyday tasks such as meal preparation.
• Participate in community integration activities.
