About The Position

Benchmark Human Services is seeking Direct Support Professionals for its Supported Living Program in Hanover. The role supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living as independently as possible and participating in their communities. Competitive pay is offered, and prior experience is not required because paid training is provided.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
Access to a vehicle in good working order.
At least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Ensure the safety of individuals at home and in the community.
Assist individuals with daily living skills, including personal care, hygiene, community safety, social skills, and household tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry.
Administer medications and follow physicians’ orders concerning medications and treatments.
Monitor the general well-being of individuals and follow supervisor and nurse instructions.
Attend and maintain required training and certifications, including first aid, CPR, Medication Administration, and behavior management training, as applicable.
Report to work as scheduled and follow established standards.
Complete healthcare documentation, including MARs, doctor visit forms, and healthcare notes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
