About The Position

BAYADA is hiring multiple Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Jacksonville, Hubert, Maple Hill, and Trenton. DSPs support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living independently, pursuing their goals, and building meaningful connections. The role includes helping with personal care and everyday tasks, providing transportation, and supporting clients’ preferred activities and community participation. Pay is $16 per hour, with weekly pay and flexible scheduling for part-time work across various shifts. BAYADA aims to match opportunities within a short commute, generally within 30 minutes of home. Training may be available through an apprentice program for candidates who do not have the stated experience. Around-the-clock clinical support and a team environment are provided.

Requirements

• One year of experience working or volunteering with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, unless training is available through the apprentice program.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to provide clients with transportation to appointments, errands, and community outings.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care, including dressing and grooming.
• Transport clients to errands, appointments, and community outings.
• Spend time with clients participating in their favorite hobbies and activities.
• Assist with everyday tasks such as meal preparation.
• Participate in community integration activities.
