DSP HIRING EVENT - Manhattan (ICF)
About The Position
AHRC New York City is holding a HIRING EVENT for 2 Part-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for our Manhattan ICF residences. The role involves supporting neurodivergent children and adults with a broad spectrum of services. The ideal candidate enjoys helping others, improving quality of life, building meaningful relationships, and promoting community inclusion. Responsibilities include oversight of safety and health, promoting skill development, assisting with Adult Daily Living skills (ADLs), and other personalized responsibilities such as cooking, cleaning, and hygiene.
Requirements
- Personal or Professional experience supporting People with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) preferred.
- Professionalism; integrity; excellent communication skills.
- Patience is a MUST!
- Willingness to support people's preferences for community, activities, work, leisure activities, the exercise of their rights etc. in various settings.
- Ability to use a computer for data entry.
- High school education/GED, highly preferred.
Responsibilities
