About The Position

ViaQuest Residential Services' Direct Support Professionals provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes. Training is provided in its entirety, and no prior experience is required. The role is based in Bowling Green, Ohio, and surrounding areas, with the listing specifying weekends-only, part-time positions. The pay range is $17.25–$18.25 per hour.

The position may suit candidates starting a healthcare career, people seeking experience in the intellectual and developmental disabilities field, nursing assistants, people pursuing STNA work, students, and candidates without a degree. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Have a motor vehicle record that meets the employer's requirements, including no OVI/DUI, reckless-operation, or speeding violations more than 20 MPH over the posted limit, no more than two moving violations in the last two years, and no more than five points.
• Have a reliable vehicle with active insurance.
• Be able to lift, push, or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and assist individuals as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, fostering independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring their health and safety needs are met.
• Supervise, teach, and assist individuals in all aspects of their lives.
• Complete household tasks, including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Provide personal care assistance.
