Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Weekends Only
About The Position
KenCrest Services is hiring compassionate, dependable Direct Support Professionals to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities at assigned homes in Stratford and Ansonia, Connecticut. These are consistent weekend-only schedules, with openings varying by home and candidates matched to a specific opening based on availability. Schedules may include Saturday and Sunday shifts from 7 AM to 2 PM or 7 AM to 3 PM; Saturday shifts from 8 AM to 8 PM; Saturday and Sunday shifts from 8 AM to 8 PM; or Saturday from 8 AM to 8 PM plus Sunday from 8 AM to 10 PM. Additional shifts may be available for employees seeking extra hours. The role supports individuals with daily living activities, personal care, meals, medication administration, household routines, community activities, and personal goals, while helping them build greater independence. Paid training is provided. New hires must be available for mandatory New Employee Orientation Monday through Friday, plus an additional Monday, from 9 AM to 4 PM.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
- At least 3 years of licensed driving experience.
- Advanced ability to convey, understand, and follow spoken and written instructions in English.
- Successfully complete required background checks.
- Be available for mandatory New Employee Orientation Monday through Friday, plus an additional Monday, from 9 AM to 4 PM.

- Experience with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD); otherwise qualified candidates will be trained.
