About The Position

Options For All is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in the East County communities of El Cajon, Santee, and La Mesa. The role helps clients build independence, achieve personal goals, participate in their communities, and lead fulfilling lives. DSPs work collaboratively with clients, families, caregivers, community partners, and other professionals, while prioritizing dignity, inclusion, health, and safety.

This is a full-time, day-shift position based in San Diego County, California, with travel of up to 50%. The listed pay is $21.00 per hour. Options For All describes its workplace as inclusive, supportive, and growth-focused.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 21 years old or older.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must pass a background check.
• Empathy, patience, and ability to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
• Ability to adapt to individual needs with care and flexibility.
• Basic technology skills, including mobile phone use, email, Microsoft, and electronic database systems.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in caregiving, social work, life skills coaching, as a teaching assistant, or volunteering; experience is a plus but not required.
