About The Position

Bancroft is hiring a full-time Direct Support Professional for its Adult Residential department in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. The role supports adults with autism and other intellectual or developmental disabilities by providing quality care in a positive, empathetic manner. The schedule is Sunday 9 a.m.–11 p.m., Monday and Tuesday 3 p.m.–11 p.m., and Friday 5 p.m.–9 p.m. The hourly rate is $19.06–$19.44.

Direct Support Professionals help residents build everyday skills and independence through personalized care plans, plan community events and outings, and communicate with residents, families, and guardians. They work as part of a supportive, accountable team. The work can be physically, mentally, and emotionally demanding, and schedules require weekend availability.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Work well in teams and be open to learning new skills.
• Have the ability and willingness to work weekends.
• Have a current driver’s license in good standing.
• Have a strong desire to work with autistic and/or intellectually or developmentally disabled individuals.
