About The Position

Direct Support Professionals (also called DSPs or caregivers) support individuals with developmental disabilities and empower them to live as independently as possible. The role includes helping residents with daily activities and supporting them in pursuing personal goals and participating in their communities.

The available schedule is every Sunday through Wednesday, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. The hiring location is Hopkins, Minnesota. Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have an active driver’s license in good standing and a good driving record.
• Must be willing and able to pass a background check.
• Must be willing to complete an Adult CPR and First Aid course.
• Must embody patience and kindness and possess a servant’s heart and hands.
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Prior completion of an Adult CPR and First Aid course.

Responsibilities

• Help residents with dining, mobility, health, and hygiene activities.
• Accompany individuals while running errands.
• Attend community occasions and recreational activities, including outdoor walks, games, and social events.
• Assist individuals in achieving their personal goals and desires.
