About The Position

Wall Residences provides high-quality community services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are currently seeking full-time and part-time, experienced Direct Support Professionals (DSP's) for Supported Living and In-Home Care services in the greater Charlottesville, Virginia area to include Albemarle, Greene, Fluvanna, and Louisa Counties and the localities of Charlottesville, Ruckersville, Stanardsville, Louisa, Fluvanna, etc. This role involves creating meaningful relationships, enjoying fun activities, and making a difference in the community while assisting individuals with domestic tasks, enriching their lives through exploration of opportunities, supporting personal care needs, providing transportation, advocacy for medical/dental appointments, and assisting with medication administration. Successful candidates are detail-oriented and able to keep accurate notes to ensure continuity of quality care. Requirements

• Full-time and part-time availability.
• Experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP).
• Active driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
• No more than 2 moving violations or accidents within past 3 years.
• No major violations within past 5 years.
• References check.
• Criminal background check free of barrier crimes.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with domestic tasks such as laundry, cleaning, meal planning, cooking, and organizing.
• Help individuals enrich their own lives through exploring volunteer opportunities.
• Support personal care needs.
• Provide transportation.
• Provide advocacy for medical/dental appointments.
• Assist with medication administration.
• Keep accurate notes to ensure continuity of quality care.
• Act as mandated reporters of abuse and neglect for individuals with disabilities.
