About The Position

ViaQuest Healthcare Central provides support and services to individuals with developmental disabilities in intermediate care facilities (ICF). The Direct Support Professional provides direct care and support, promoting individuals’ independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring their health and safety. The role includes personal and companion care, assistance with daily activities, household tasks, and support for new hires. The advertised pay is $17.75–$18.75 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Meet motor vehicle record requirements, including no OVI/DUI, reckless operation, or speeding violations more than 20 MPH over the posted limit; no more than two moving violations in the last two years or more than five points.
• Reliable vehicle with active insurance.
• Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and assist individuals as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, fostering independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring health and safety.
• Administer site training to new hires.
• Assist with shift coverage as needed.
• Supervise, teach, and assist individuals in all aspects of their lives.
• Prepare meals and complete household tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
• Provide personal care assistance.
• Provide companion care and caregiving.
