About The Position
Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are needed to join the team at Merakey's program in Richmond, VA. This role involves creating long-term impacts on individuals' lives by encouraging, mentoring, and coaching them to achieve their goals. DSPs will foster pride in individuals by teaching them daily living activities such as housekeeping and laundry. Work is performed in accordance with appropriate procedures under the supervision of the House Manager. The role enhances independence by assisting with daily and personal activities.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to operate a vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license
Nice To Haves
- 1+ year experience in a home health aide setting or school setting working with people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities
