The Direct Support Professional works on an interdisciplinary team that delivers superior quality of service and provides appropriate activities in a safe and healthy environment within the home and community setting. This role involves assisting clients with basic living skills, daily personal tasks, providing transportation, maintaining communication between staff, completing documentation, and assisting with client care plans. The DSP is expected to be a role model, treat clients and families with dignity and respect, and maintain facilities and vehicles.
