About The Position

Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Adult Residential Services. This is a part-time, hourly position with shifts available on Monday (3pm-10pm), Wednesday (4pm-9pm), Saturday (5pm-9pm), and Sunday (4pm-9pm), totaling 21 hours per week. The pay rate is $21.00 – $23.10/hour. Brightway Living & Learning is a premier non-profit provider of human services on Long Island, offering educational, residential, day habilitation, and vocational programs. With a 65-year legacy as the Developmental Disabilities Institute (DDI), Brightway supports over 1,600 children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities. The organization utilizes persistence, adaptability, and behavioral science to help individuals grow and learn. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will be instrumental in supporting individuals with disabilities in their daily lives. This involves assisting with daily living activities, fostering independence, promoting well-being, and facilitating community connections. A valid NYS Driver's License for 18+ months with a clean driving history and successful completion of Brightway Living & Learning's Transportation Orientation is required. New hires not meeting this criteria will start at a lower rate of $19.00/hour.

Provide individualized support with personal care, meal preparation, transportation, and community outings.

Collaborate effectively with a supportive team of DSPs, supervisors, and families.
