About The Position

With services in 15 states, the team is united by a shared commitment to making a real difference in people's lives. This role involves assisting individuals in a residential group home setting to achieve various outcomes, including personal care and community integration. The company offers paid training and orientation, and there are multiple schedules available. A $2.00 per hour weekend shift differential is offered, and there is potential for a $1,500 bonus based on the assigned program. A valid driver's license is required.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
High school diploma or GED certificate
A successful background clearance is required as part of the onboarding/employment process
Good communication skills (reading, writing, and verbal) are key for documenting care, following support plans, and collaborating with team members.
A valid driver's license is required for this position (due to transporting persons served)
Candidates must be comfortable driving company vehicles to transport persons served as required
Prior experience with intense high behaviors, both verbal and physical (for Behavioral DSP role)
Patience, good decision-making and crisis-management skills (for Behavioral DSP role)

Nice To Haves

Experience with adults with mental health issues, disabilities or related experience
Certifications & trainings (CBRF, CNA, CPR, etc.)
Prior IDD, mental health, psychiatric, and/or security experience (for Behavioral DSP role)
Own personal vehicle and auto-liability insurance (may be required for some positions/locations)

Responsibilities

Assist in a residential group home by helping people with disabilities achieve a variety of outcomes.
Assist with personal cares and provide normalization/community integration.
Provide support and mentorship with daily activities to those we support in a manner that ensures their health and safety.
Help with meals, cleaning, perform housekeeping, laundry duties and facilitating fun activities.
Provide hands-on mentoring to those we serve to help them become more independent.
Provide positive direction to the individuals to encourage them to achieve their personal goals.
Provide medication administration and ensure person's medical well-being.
Provide support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and people who are faced with mental health, behavioral, and/or significant medical challenges (for Behavioral DSP role).
