Direct Support Associate
About The Position
Easterseals NH is seeking a Direct Support Associate to join its Community Based Services team. The program supports individuals with developmental disabilities and complex medical needs who live in residential homes. The associate promotes independence, helps maintain a safe environment, and provides companionship and support in the residential setting. This part-time role is scheduled for 24 hours per week, Thursday through Saturday, 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Various scheduling options may be available. Pay is $24.00 per hour. Employees may attend paid internal NADSP training to become a certified Direct Support Professional, supporting career advancement and pay increases.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance.

- Experience providing direct support or direct care.
Responsibilities
- Promote clients’ independence, help create a safe environment, and provide companionship in a residential home.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal care and medication administration.
- Assist with lifting, transferring, and mobility support.
- Help with household tasks such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry.
- Accompany individuals to daily activities, appointments, and community events.
- Follow each individual’s care plan.
- Complete required daily documentation using a computer or tablet.
- Complete training in conflict resolution and behavioral health safety.
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
