About The Position

Mosaic is seeking Direct Support Professionals to support and guide people as they learn and develop daily living skills and participate in life activities, helping them live as independently as possible. The role focuses on creating an environment where people can learn, grow, and discover; supporting individuals in identifying and achieving personally important goals; and ensuring their comfort, safety, and medical, nutritional, and personal care needs. The position also involves emotional support and assistance with general housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry. No prior experience is needed, and thorough training is provided.

Requirements

Desire to make a positive difference in people's lives; no experience is needed, and training is provided.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid U.S. driver's license where applicable.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Effective, clear written and verbal communication.
Strong time-management skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities while communicating honestly about timelines, challenges, and questions.
Frequent physical activity, including extended periods of standing, walking, and bending; occasional sitting, kneeling, climbing, stooping, crouching, squatting, and balancing.
Constant reaching between knee and shoulder level, frequent reaching below knee level, and overhead reaching.
Occasional independent lifting up to 25 pounds, frequent pushing or pulling up to 40 pounds of force, and ability to safely transfer 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Assist with developing daily living skills and participating in life activities by creating an environment where people can learn, grow, and discover.
Help people identify and achieve the goals that are most important to them.
Monitor the comfort and safety of people served and ensure their medical, nutritional, and personal care needs are met.
Provide emotional support.
Assist with general housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry.
