Direct Loan Associate
About The Position
The Direct Loan Associate assists members with direct consumer loan applications from initial inquiry through loan closing and serves as their primary point of contact throughout the lending process. The role receives and processes applications, gathers required documentation, prepares loan files for underwriting review, and coordinates loan closings. It may also assist with booking indirect consumer loans, though the primary focus is on members applying directly through Barksdale Federal Credit Union. The associate provides exceptional member service and identifies opportunities to recommend additional credit union products and services.
Requirements
- Knowledge of loan processing functions and related requirements and procedures.
- Strong organization and typing abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Good verbal public relations skills.

- One to two years of varied office experience preferred.
Responsibilities
