About The Position
Maximum Care, Inc. is hiring a Direct Care Worker to support elderly people, people with disabilities, and participants with intellectual disabilities. The role involves providing safe, compassionate, ethical, and respectful care while protecting participants’ dignity and rights, as well as those of their family members. Care includes physical and emotional support related to illness, injury, or disability, help with daily living, and companionship. The position offers flexible schedules and may be part-time or full-time. Training is completed through a mobile app at the employee’s convenience, and face-to-face interaction is conducted via Zoom.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to complete a criminal background report.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
- Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and stand for sometimes long periods.
Responsibilities
- Care for participants and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect.
- Provide physical and emotional care related to illness, injury, disability, or other needs.
- Provide light housekeeping, run errands, and provide transportation when needed.
- Accompany clients to appointments and assist with or remind them about medications.
- Prepare meals, purchase food, and provide personal assistance with general living needs.
- Provide personal services such as toileting, bathing, feeding, and grooming.
- Provide companionship and conversation by stimulating, encouraging, and assisting participants.
